About Candice

Candice is the director of Bush-Psychology, a clinical psychology practice based on the Sunshine Coast, Qld and has a passion working with young people and adults particularly those experiencing borderline personality symptoms, anxiety, depression and trauma. The practice is newly established having moved from interstate and has current availability for new clients.

 

The owner, Candice Bush has over 15 years experience in working in child protection, specifically developmental trauma, Candice is experienced in working with young people, adults and groups experiencing trauma, grief and loss, anxiety (social, general, OCD, phobias) self-harm and risk.  Candice has also facilitated the WOKE program through University of Canberra working with young people with early symptoms of BPD. 

 

Candice has an undergraduate Psychology degree from University of Sydney, a First Class Honours degree and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Canberra.

 

Candice is available for sessions including telehealth and face to face and NDIS self-managed clients. She is a mum, a therapist, a dog owner and believes in the power of being heard, seen, and understood.

Referrals

Under the Better Access Scheme you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 psychological sessions per calendar year.

 

To access this, you will need to visit your GP who will assess your mental health needs and if appropriate, provide you with a Mental Health care Plan (MHCP). You can bring the MHCP with you on your first visit or alternatively, your GP may email this through to psychology@bush-consulting.com.au.

 

Sessions are for 50 minutes in duration and you will receive your rebate on the day of your appointment.Telehealth support is also available. Candice Bush is a registered clinical psychologist so clients receive a higher rebate than a non-clinical psychologist.
